Thanks to people like you, Jasmine's Gala on Saturday evening was an unbelievable and total success!

Our gala included: a silent auction, live 80s music from The Flying Colors, raffles, delicious food, and a meet and greet with our guests of honor: Jasmine Styles and Jeffrey Wallace!

The gala was held as a fundraiser to help grant Jeff and Jasmine's wish- to get married in Jamaica!

Since our website launched back in November of this year, our goal was to raise $10,000 for the two lovebirds' to fly Jamaica bound to exchange their wedding vows.

Because of people like you, we have surpassed our $10,000 goal!

The gala alone brought in: $7,743.30

Our revenue for the entire event was: $14,680.09

Our expenses for running the gala: $2,348.52

Our net total: $12,331.57!!!!

The extra money will be going to research the cure for Alveolar Soft Part Sarcomas (ASPS)

Pictures of the gala soon to be posted.

Thanks everyone,

Saturday was an amazing evening thanks to people like you. I don't think it could have turned out any better. The auction items were amazing (a list of winners and donors will be added to the website shortly), the food was undeniably delicious, and the band rocked, period. We're still calculating how much we made and figuring out the gala's expenses. We should have a donation total posted here by the end of the week. Thanks to people like Daniel Rojek who bid over $2000 on a framed Gretzky signed photograph, we know we're not too far away from our $10,000 goal.

Our gratitude goes out to all of you for making Jasmine's Wish a reality.

We've just recently found out that a Christmas party hosted by the Jawhari brothers raised $700 for Jasmine's Wish.  Please read the correspondence of the event from Hellal Jawhari:

My brother Kelly Jawhari and I, Hellal Jawhari, went to school with Jasmine and Jeff for about 10 years.  When we heard that her friends were doing whatever was possible to make sure her wish came true, we decided that we wouldn’t have it any other way than to tie the Christmas party we were hosting with her Wish. We were blown away by the response we received from people to help contribute to the event. We rounded up 21 donations from salon/spa packages to Tile Painting to gym gear. It was an awesome turnout and we managed to donate $700. Most people that came were all J.H. Picardiens and we were amazed by the outcome. We just wanted to do anything that was possible to help.

Donations for this event were as follows:Salon Packages & Products – Supplied by Volume Hair & Body MaintenanceSpa Packages & Products – Supplied by Body PolishMen & Women’s Gym Gear – Supplied by Golds Gym ReginaSunglasses – Supplied by Mark MatiasTile Painting – Supplied by Jamie Law

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!!

Just recently has it come to our attention that the Beaudoin, Swart, Brink, and Boutin families donated a huge chunk of their Christmas spending budget for Jasmine's Wish. The OH SO generous donation has really put a positive dent in our goal to send these two lovebirds Jamaica bound!!

Frank Evestaff of Toronto, Ontario has graciously given a $1000
donation towards Jasmine's Wish. The Evestaff's have been longtime
family friends of the Wallace's and speaking with Frank today, the man
showed his heart when he said, "anything for the Wallace's". Frank
knows about the struggles with cancer as his own mother and both of
sisters have been diagnosed with the disease. Frank's mother's cancer
has effected her vision and the ability to watch her beloved hockey
team, the Habs hit the ice on the television. Jasmine's Wish is
honored to accept the gracious donation of $1000 in honor of the
Evestaff family. Please say a word of thanks for this family and all
the other contributors located on the donors page of this website.

Thank you to Carly Rowsome and her "SAVE or SHAVE Carly's Hair"
campaign. She raised a grand total of $1847 for Jasmine's Wish - and
that was without losing one lock! Please visit her Facebook group by
copy and pasting, "SAVE or SHAVE Carly's hair - A fundraiser for
Jasmine's Wish" into the facebook search engine. Thanks to all of
Carly's donors and to Carly for putting herself out there. It could
have been an even colder winter for Ms. Rowsome.

Keep the love flowing people,
Jasmine's Committee

Hello! Thank you, thank you, thank you for visiting our site. If any
of you are wondering, the online auction did not take place. The items
will be auctioned at the Jasmine Wish Gala set to take place in less
than 50 days!!!

I spoke with Jasmine two days ago. She's currently on chemotherapy
treatment and had a bit of a lousy month with stomach and mobility
issues. BUT, with the mention of the Jasmine's Wish Gala set to take
place Saturday, May 2nd her spirits are HIGH. Her and Jeff are in the
process of booking their tickets Edmonton-bound as I type.

About the gala to take place Saturday, May 2nd: THANK YOU so much for
the auction items that have been donated - free body piercing gift
certificates, Edmonton Riverboat gift certificates, house cleaning
services, to name but a few. Auction items do not have to be fancy
smancy either. Look around your house for things to give away if you
want. I'm donating gifts from ex-boyfriends. Currently we only have
about 13 items for the auction. I'd like to see that number quadrupled
by the auction date.

Where we're at with the gala:

1. We are still trying to confirm a free venue.
2. Still looking for auction items.
3. We have over 40 unconfirmed guests coming to gala as it appears on
the Jasmine's Wish facebook group
4. We are still trying to confirm a free venue.
5. We're looking for free appys to serve at the gala. Ideas?

Honestly, none of us have ever organized a Gala before but we're
trying our best. If you have any ideas please let us know.

Merci,

Jasmine's Wish Committee

PS - please black out the date May 2nd in your daytime right now.
